While pursuing my degree, I worked as a graphic designer for the Student Involvement office at Washington State University. I got the chance to work with multiple organizations across campus, helping design and advertise them and their events. Most notably, I was the lead designer for the Student Entertainment Board, which was the premiere group responsible for hosting large-scale events on campus. I worked on projects such as SpringFest, which is WSU’s biggest concert of the year featuring notable artists such as Billie Eilish, G Eazy, Amine, and more.
Logo Design
Creating logos presents an interesting challenge for any graphic designer. I believe the best logos represent the goal or group as simply as possible. This was a logo I did for the “Japanese Student Association” at WSU.
Event Advertising
My primary day-to-day tasks included creating large-scale posters and social advertising for the many events WSU organizations would hold throughout the year. Meeting with club representatives to understand their events and goals, and then designing materials accordingly. Collaborating with printing vendors and strategically placing posters in high-traffic areas across campus.
